As a nonprofit communications professional, Ilyasah N. Shabazz believes in the power of effective, data driven marketing. For more than eight years, Ilyasah has worked with nonprofits to help them grow their audience by telling impactful stories, implementing strategic plans, and streamlining digital communications. She fell in love with nonprofits after landing an internship with a start-up organization, where she planned a 5-day conference for entrepreneurs from across the United States. Most recently, Ilyasah served as the marketing director at the Greensboro Children’s Museum and managed projects across a variety of channels including advertising, social media, media relations, and special events. A proud New Yorker, Ilyasah now lives in Greensboro, NC. When she’s not traveling or binging Netflix shows, you can find her spending time with family and being a proud aunt to 12 nieces and nephews.
