As Senior Operations and Communications Director at Philanthropy Together, Ilyasah N. Shabazz Davis is part of the team leading a global effort to grow and strengthen the collective giving movement. Since 2020, she has helped design the systems, stories, and strategies that power giving circles and collective giving groups around the world.

For more than a decade, Ilyasah has worked with nonprofits to help them grow their audience by telling impactful stories, implementing strategic plans, and streamlining digital communications. She fell in love with nonprofits after landing an internship with a start-up organization, where she planned a 5-day conference for entrepreneurs from across the United States. Prior to joining Philanthropy Together, Ilyasah served as the marketing director at the Greensboro Children’s Museum and managed projects across a variety of channels including advertising, social media, media relations, and special events.

Ilyasah earned a master’s in management from the University of Phoenix and a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication and Afro- and African-American Studies from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

A proud New Yorker, Ilyasah now lives in Greensboro, NC. When she’s not traveling or binging Netflix shows, you can find her spending time with family and being a proud aunt to 13 nieces and nephews.
