Dr. Rousseau will speak to us embedding racial and social justice into funding priorities. She will be speaking to us based on her professional work as well as her philanthropic work with SPIN (Sisterhood of Philanthropist Impacting Needs). SPIN is a giving circle of Black women in the Denver community who leverage their collective strengths in order to positively impact marginalized women and adolescent girls.They bring together women of varying perspectives, backgrounds, and unique skill-sets who are passionate about making a difference through charitable contributions, community service, and civic engagement.
Outcomes of the session will include:
- Participants will glean a deeper understanding of the differences between equity and equality
- Participants will gain valuable strategies to identify and confront systemic injustice, as well as, tools to uplift systemic change in Black and Brown communities
