LINKAGES – The Role of Philanthropy in Climate Solutions Globally
For those of you who are philanthropists/giving circle participants (big and small) or advisors/collaboratives supporting global donors and interested in learning more about networks and organizations in the global south working to bring climate solutions to their communities, join NEID Global on Oct 23 for their LINKAGES program. They will be featuring Helen Mountford the CEO of ClimateWorks and Una Osili from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy to provide a big picture view of how private philanthropists are engaging internationally to support climate resilience, adaptation and mitigation. In addition Vanessa Nakate – a famous African youth activist (the Greta Thunberg of Africa) will share her experience as a climate activist in Uganda. The forum will include eight workshops exploring how to get involved in supporting solutions related to food and nutrition, renewable energy, health, community land conservation, wildlife conservation, the Amazon, last mile communities and important networks supporting investments in the global south. The platform is accessible for a month after the event, allowing ample time to digest the content and the resource page with grantees and other relevant resources.
