Investing in Girls’ Education
Together Women Rise is a powerful community of women and allies dedicated to global gender equality. Our July monthly webinar is focused on investing in girls’ education in Guatemala.
Guatemala was devastated by the 36-year-long Guatemalan Civil War during which violence against the indigenous Ixil population amounted to genocide with 70 – 90% of Ixil villages razed. The resulting poverty, coupled with inequalities in gender and ethnicity, create significant obstacles to Ixil girls’ education and empowerment today.
Join us July 1 for an engaging conversation with guest speaker, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Limitless Horizons Ixil Katie Morrow. The event is free, but registration is required on Zoom.
