What does it take for a local organization to do the work they do? How do you apply for funding when you have a small staff?

In this session we will hear directly from Founders and Executive Directors Amrita Doshi of South Asian SOAR and Alyssa Wainaina of Black Liberation Collective. They will share their founding stories, as well as the challenges their groups have faced while working in their communities. Through this panel discussion collective givers can gain a deeper understanding of challenges regularly faced by CBOs and their leaders.

Attendees can expect to:

• Hear directly from leaders of community-based organizations
• Learn about challenges face by community-based organizations
• Receive feedback as to how to fund community-based organizations in empowering ways rooted in a relational-mindset
