Addressing Homelessness through Community-Driven Solutions
Join us on April 4 for a conversation that will outline how and why community-based work and advocacy is at the heart of addressing the homelessness crisis. The scope of the problem can feel daunting, but community-centric models like Giving Circles bring reason for hope by prioritizing our shared humanity and desire for collective change.
Meet the Panelists:
Kevin F. Adler: Award-winning author of When We Walk By: Forgotten Humanity, Broken Systems, and the Role We Can Each Play in Ending Homelessness in America, and founder of Miracle Messages, a nonprofit addressing relational homelessness.
Marcia Hall: Marcia is the CEO of Mrbubblez, a nonprofit providing a safe and secure place for homeless families, men and women to take a hot shower. They provide individual shower units, personal hygiene items, bath towels, new undergarments and clean clothing. They have locations throughout the Tampa Bay area.
Kelly Cobb: Vice President of Giving at Bombas. In her role, she leads the company’s mission to support individuals facing housing insecurity by donating a top-needed, thoughtfully-designed item for every item purchased. Additionally, she engages the Bombas team in regular volunteer opportunities that furthers the company’s connection to the mission and to individuals who are currently unhoused.
