What if you could experience the power of collective giving and make a real difference in your community — in just one afternoon? Join us for CircleUp Appalachia, a free regional gathering in Appalachian Kentucky where you’ll discover collective giving firsthand.
This event is free and open to the public: Thursday, October 29 from 11 AM–1 PM EDT at Honeysuckle Dining and Bourbon House. At the center of the event is a Pop-Up Giving Circle — an immersive, live grantmaking experience where attendees discuss shared values, learn about the issues and nonprofits strengthening community life in the region, and make a real grant to a local organization. All in real time. All in one room.
Collective giving is the fastest-growing form of philanthropy in the U.S., and it’s been part of Appalachian community life for generations. Mutual aid. Church collections. Neighbor networks. CircleUp Appalachia exists to name, celebrate, and grow this tradition — bringing together everyday donors, nonprofits, next-generation philanthropists, and community members to fellowship, learn, and make a difference together. We are many roots, one movement!
