CircleUp Alabama is on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM at the Southern Flight Museum in Birmingham, Alabama. Join us as we kick off Black Philanthropy Month in Birmingham for CircleUp Alabama – a regional celebration of collective giving, community power, and the organizations doing the work right now.
Whether you’re a giving circle leader or member, a nonprofit professional, a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) holder looking to invest locally, or someone brand new to philanthropy who’s ready to get involved. If you believe in the power of community, there is a seat at this table for you. We are Many Voices, One Movement!
Here’s what to expect:
- A festive networking lunch to connect with changemakers from across the region.
- An inspiring opening conversation honoring the legacy and future of collective giving in the South.
- Interactive sessions designed for where you are – whether you’re brand new to the movement or a seasoned circle leader.
- A dedicated spotlight on Black-led and grassroots nonprofits transforming communities across Alabama,
- A powerful closing moment where we come together, chart the future of collective giving in the Black Belt, and make a pledge to keep the momentum going strong.
This is presented by a coalition of partners committed to scaling and strengthening collective giving, including: BackBlack, Birmingham Change Fund, Black Philanthropy Month, Grapevine, Philanos, Philanthropy Together, and the Women’s Foundation of Alabama.
