Our health and wellness is the bedrock of everything we do. Yet, our health and wellness often takes a back seat to the pressures and demands of our daily life.
In honor of National Wellness Month, we invite you to learn about health organizations in the United States who are doing great work focused on healing, health, and wellness. Celebrated every August, National Wellness Month was created to increase awareness of the importance of wellness and self-care.
Along with the organizations featured in this blog that are on the frontlines, doing the work to serve their communities, there are giving circles, like Latinos in Healthcare Giving Circle, that focus on healthy living to support and fund them.
Hosted at the Latino Community Foundation, Latinos in Healthcare Giving Circle is a group of healthcare professionals using their collective skills, passion and resources to advance healthcare equity in their organizations and communities. They work to inspire Latinos, Latinas, and Latinxs interested in healthcare professions and to eliminate systemic racism and oppression.
Connect with Latinos in Healthcare Giving on their website, Instagram, Twitter or Facebook for more on Latinos in healthcare philanthropy.
